I posted this on Creative Studio Forum and decided to post it here!
Because let's face, there are some fanime that were not created without reason or history. I would like a to know what is your fanime history? I'll start with one of mine, which is Penalty All About.
Unlike Carrot Fluffs, Sour Candy Filled Donuts, or Mi-Pie, it's pretty long... ^^;
PAA History Time:
During the time 2010-2011, I gave one of my PowerPufff Girls Dolls a blue wig, just for the hell of it. I made two drawings based off of that! The first drawing was of a girl originally named "Ada" (To which, later giving her less saturated light blue her, is renamed as “Adako”, who is in Sour Candy Filled Donuts.) The second drawing was a girl with black sclera eyes, originally called “Inverted Eye Girl” (This…. later became Moxanne!)
Around late 2011, I was feeling a great amount of slump after I lost all the progress for a planned fanfiction called “Rightful Thesis” (Which was like a bit of an edgy reboot of my old fanfiction of “Super Azumanga RPG.”) once my first computer died.. I still wanted to write but…. With original characters. I discovered on TV Tropes this line of genre is called a “Web Novel”, which is like a written story…. But on the web!! I looked at the “Inverted Eye Girl” and I said “You know what, I making a web novel based around this character”!! (To which I gave her the canon name Moxanne)
I wrote the original Penalty All About web novel as I went along when I was 16, written what the story would take me basically. It ran from September 2011 through June 2012 on deviantART.
Later on, around 2013, I wanted PAA to get more noticed, so I tried other forms. Another website and two other forms of media. First, I posted story on FictionPress, which is like FanFiction.net, except with original stories. However, it never got noticed there…. like at all!
I tried to make a web-comic of Penalty All About. However, I was there were many major factors to why that never continues. A. I never got my tablet until 2014! B. I was suffering with depression a lot worse back then, especially when moving from one town to another so that was fun. C. I was hanging with problematic people that caused my depression to be worse D. I was posting the on deviantART, which is an ass site for webcomics. :/ (The person I follow I Twitter who is part of the Webcomic Community would agree with that statement.)
Also, I had the idea of wanting to make Penalty All About web-novel into an Audio book, since I am a part of this once active voice acting group, The Light Novel Brigade. However, the idea didn’t really caught on to the rest of the group.
By the time April 2014 come around, I decided to make Penalty All About into a Visual Novel Style Fanime, which despite some issues I had to deal with (voice actors being way too late and inactive sometimes), It all worked out in the end. I got all 10 chapters of the original web-novel into in my 5 episode fanime! ^.^

2011-2012:
Back in 2011, I wanted to create some sort of original story but I was unsure, this was back when I drew on a mouse and was still using MS Paint and GIMP. Then I looked upon TvTropes and see there is this medium called Web Novels. This inspired me to make on of my own but I was not too sure of what. Then I looked a my first drawing of Moxanne who original was the "Inverted Eye Girl" and I thought, "Hey, maybe I can write a story about her~!" So i did.
I did had a hiatus with it a bit because for one thing, I was not too sure where my story was going. And another thing, there were some personal issues I had to deal with. I think I'll leave it at that.
Anyways, I was able to finish the original story in 2012. I was really excited because it was the first ever story in a long time that I ever completed. I did had a fanfiction that I wrote when I was 12 but we're not here to talk about that.
I showed to my friends, and those that read it really enjoyed it, even if some parts from it freaked him out.
However, this is were I'm starting to get some struggles again.
2013:
Around 2013, I was beginning to feel isolated that Fanfictions are getting more attention than original stories.
I did my best to get it more noticed, like joining two deviantART groups that are centered around original stories and submitted it there. However, it didn't really help, if I'm honest.
I submitted the story onto this website called "Fiction Press" ... again, that did nothing.
Then I realized something, while I love the story itself, the writing of it was not too perfect. I over-explain in some areas and under-explain in others.
So, during the time of my Homestuck obsession, I decide to make a webcomic of P.A.A., since people always look for visuals.
However, while I gotten used to FireAlpeca, I was still drawing with a mouse. Not to mention during the time, I was still getting used to being in a different town because I moved away from my home town. Let's say I was pretty depressed.
I created a website for it but I was not feeling motivated.
However, there's a time when things were looking up.
2014:
I watched this review called Fanime Review. I saw her "Top 5 Tokyo Mew Mew Spin offs" I thought the reviews were entertain and informative to watch. Around that, I watched my friend's Let's Play of this tragic horror game, "Saya no Uta". Where am I going with this?
Those two, along with the first visual novel sprite I've made, which is Mokoko's old sprite, is what inspired me to make it as it is today. A visual novel style series. I was unsure, even with Fanime Update, which at the time I recently discover.
However, I notice that a week after I discovered it and announced the P.A.A. series, I watched the update that Penalty All About was mentioned. I was really happy because I never thought that anyone outside my friends at the time would mention something related to it. I made it seem like a joke at the time but that really made inspired to keep going, and that is where the history with it ends and the process of it began.
