Hi all! Wow, I haven't been in touch with the fanime community in a long while! In fact, this is my first post here! It makes me happy to see that the fanime community is still active and making content! I’m taking a Pop Culture class on Internet Communities this semester in college. Part of the class requirements is to write a 15 page paper on an internet community of our choice. I’d like to do a paper on the Fanime/Fanimation community that inhabits various websites across the Internet. I’d love to talk to people who are (or were at one time) involved in the community. We would discuss your thoughts on it, how it’s evolved over time, what you think the future is, etc. It doesn’t matter if your view on the community is positive or negative, I’d like to hear from any and all viewpoints. If you don't feel like doing an e-mail interview but still want to contribute, I'm also accepting old archives that you may have saved of anything fanime related! If you're interested, leave a response here and I'll contact you and arrange a list of questions to be sent via e-mail! Thanks so much!

I'm down to interview if you're alright with it! Email or discord works for me. Just let me know!

Hi all!
I'd like to thank everyone for their participation and interviews! If you are interested in reading the paper, send me a message and I can send it over to you.
The paper is geared towards readers who are completely unfamiliar with the fanime community and what it's about, so most of it may actually be common sense around here, but there are also some sections referring to the old, original fanime community and how it's a bit different from today.
On that note, I had to talk briefly about the community to my professor and classmates, and my professor was totally impressed by what everybody does here. She thought it was incredible that there's a corner on the internet where young animators are interacting and being creative. Keep doing what you do!
