This is thread for those that want to talk about how their artstyle came to be!!
I'll stated with sow I found my two artstyles. (Yes, I got two, mang!!)
Starting with the main one, since that has a longer history.
Before 2008, I was really just drawing with stick figures with triangles and squares for bodies, thinking of that what you will. Around the times after I got into Azumanga Daioh, Lucky Star, and Haruhi Suzumiya, I decided I want to draw in an anime-like style. And the beginnings weeerrre, pretty rough. I drew too small, I didn't even add shine to the eyes, and worst of all.... I was jumped from drawing with stick figures to anime. From the sounds of that, this might be a recipe for disaster. And you are correct. It was. But, like an underdog from any shonen story, I kept going. With some mixed results. Around 2009, I got back into Sailor Moon years later, and well, I "attempted" to try drawing in the sailor moon artstyle eyes, while keeping the same shitty anatomy I had back in the day. This was also around the same year I got into drawing on MS Paint. Slowly but surly, I decided to keep going with the Sailor Moon Eye Shine attampt. With another batch of mixed results.
When transition from Windows XP to Windows 7, I kept going with drawing on MS Paint, with some help of GIMP with the backgrounds in some pictures. Up until 2012, I continued drawing on MS Paint for about 3 or 4 years. Then I discover Inkscape. A good ol' fashioned vector program that was because like a free alternative to Adobe Illustrator. While the results looked better at that time, there are some pictures that a mixed and for all intents and purposes, it's not aging will. Around the same year and 2013, I also discovered FireAlpaca. And while I didn't know what to do with it because sadly around that time, I still did not know what layers are, I slowly loved the program to death. But not before the days when I tried to draw on MS Paint, trace the lines in Inkscape, and color shit in on GIMP! Yeah, this was a needlessly complicated process that I put myself through at that time.
When I got more into FireAlpaca, I was experimenting with a cross between a cartoony artstyle and an anime artstyle. I was originally doing that to for somebody to borrow that style but I was not popular enough so I decided the style is mine and well as crossing it and the old style I was going for. There still some mixed things about this style until one day in 2014, I got my very first tablet! (Yes, before then, I drew with a mouse... let that sink in. 0u0 From that day forward, my artstyle slowly but surely became what it is today!! ^.^
Now for the other style that I'm going for, which has a shorter history.
I was hoping to experiment with another type of style one day and looking at something like Tenshi's art and Panty and Stocking's artstyle made me form this artstyle, with this picture of Shiyoko.
I did stop for a while until I recently got back to it and now it became my second main style!!
That is my artstyle story, let's hear yours!!
